Despite the fact that Cologne was being bombed by Allied low-flying aircraft in 1944, three small transports were still sent to Theresienstadt. There were two special transports for single persons in February and April, and in mid September the Swiss consul Franz Rudolf von Weiss reported that the arrest of "Half Aryans" had begun in earnest. In October 1944 a group was sent to Theresiensadt and, immediately upon their arrival, the men were reportedly beaten to death.

This transport which left Cologne on an unknown date arrived in Theresienstadt on April 26. The only deportee was Rudolf Mayer, born 1864. This transport was registered in the Theresienstadt ghetto listings by the number III/10Ez2 where the Roman numeral III refers to Cologne and the letters ‘Ez’ mark this as a one-person transport (“Einzeltransport”). On May 10 1944, two weeks after his arrival in Theresienstadt, Rudolf Meyer died.
