The International Institute for Holocaust Research

Following the Wannsee-Conference on January 20, 1942, Adolf Eichmann, head of the Department of Jewish Affairs at the RSHA (Reichssicherheitshauptamt), informed the Gestapo-leadership on January 31 that the previous expulsions of Jews from various regions of the Reich had constituted only the beginning of the “Final Solution to the Jewish question in Germany, Austria and the Protectorate".
